Family Fun Night

Family Fun Night!

You are invited to join us for a night of fun for the entire family on Tuesday, October 24th! The PTO and Student Council are teaming up to provide a cake walk and a cardboard arcade for McCall students in the cafeteria and the gym that evening. Students may wear their Halloween costumes to the festivities as long as the costumes do not include a mask, a weapon, or anything scary/gory. As an added bonus, the Book Fair will be open for students and families in the library.

Because of the large number of students, we are going to split the night into two different sessions.

Session 1: If your child is in Kindergarten, 1st, or 2nd grade, please join us from 4:45 – 5:45.

Session 2: If your child is in 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade, please join us from 6:00 – 7:00.

If you have children from the younger grades (Kinder, 1st, or 2nd) as well as the older grades (3rd, 4th, or 5th), please bring all of your children to the session of your choice.

Please only come once so we will have enough room for everyone.

See you there!

Grandparent Celebrations

Grandparent Celebrations

It is time to celebrate our wonderful McCall grandparents with breakfast and pictures. Due to the large number of students in our school, we will be celebrating over two days. Students with last names starting with the letters A-L will host their grandparents on October 25 from 7:30 - 8:00 a.m. Students with last names starting with the letters M-Z will host their grandparents on October 26 at 7:30 - 8:00 a.m. (Of course, grandparents are welcome for lunch at any time.) Please remind all grandparents that the book fair will be in full swing on October 25th and 26th, so they will be welcome to drop in after breakfast.

Book Fair Volunteers

Wild West Book Fair - Saddle Up and ReadBook Fair Volunteers Needed!

The fall book fair will be held October 23-27. With over 650 students at McCall this year, we expect this to be the biggest fair yet! We need a team of volunteers to help make this event successful. If you are interested in volunteering, please click HERE to access the Book Fair Volunteers Form. Thanks!

Spotlight on Staff

Heart SpotlightMeet Haley Loftin

Haley Loftin has lived in Aledo since preschool and graduated from Aledo High School. She describes herself as athletic, family-oriented, and a little quirky!  One of the proudest moments of her life was graduating from Texas Tech University. If you are around Haley for very long, you will soon find out that she is obsessed with football, especially her Texas Tech Red Raiders. Something many people don’t know about her is that even though she can be very outgoing, she loves having alone time. This is her 1st year at McCall and her 1st year as a 2nd grade teacher. When she is working with kids, Haley strives to provide students with a safe environment where they feel encouraged and loved.

Meet Stacy Cliver

Stacy is originally from Tulsa, OK, and is Sooner born and Sooner bred. Her husband is retired Air Force, and they moved 9 times in the first 15 years of their marriage, finally settling here in Aledo five years ago. She and her husband Matt have three amazing kiddos, Brannan (Auburn University), Zane (Junior, AHS), and Jacob (7th, AMS). She describes herself as an enthusiastic, fun loving, laugh-until-she-snorts, optimistic goofball! She would also declare she is blessed by God’s grace beyond measure or comprehension! It would be hard for her to pick the greatest moment of her life… She truly feels like each day is special and a gift and believes her attitude of gratitude is the greatest gift God has given her. If you are around Stacy for very long, you will soon find out that she is rarely serious and loves to laugh… mainly at herself! Something many people don’t know about her is that she would describe herself as an introvert… This shocks everyone… or at least everyone says they are shocked when she admits to being an introvert by nature and an extrovert by shear will-power. This is her 4th year at Aledo ISD. Her first three years were at Aledo Middle School and this is her 1st year at McCall in the position of Speech Language Pathologist. When she is working with kids, Stacy strives to make each one realize that they are “precious and amazing and perfect and a gift”….and she could go on and on!
