District personnel has determined that the primary roadways while partially clearing this afternoon will refreeze tonight, secondary roads remain frozen. Due to the icy road conditions and below-freezing temperatures, Aledo ISD has now cancelled school for Monday, Dec. 9. Again, there will be no school on Monday, Dec. 9.

The district may close schools because of bad weather or emergency conditions. When such conditions exist, the superintendent will make the official decision concerning the closing of the district’s facilities, parents and employees will be notified through the ParentLink system. When it becomes necessary to open late, to release students early, or to cancel school, parents and district employees will be notified through the ParentLink system. In addition, information will be posted on the district’s Website and the following television and radio stations will be notified:
Santa Paws Service Project
Our annual school wide service project to benefit the Parker County Animal Shelter will take place Dec. 4-16. We will be accepting donations of food, treats, toys and used towels for dogs or cats. Help us make sure all the pets in need at the shelter are provided for this holiday season!
